HP Printer Problem #6 – Missing Drivers For Your Operating System
If you plan to upgrade to a new computer operating system (i.e., Windows 7) and plan on keeping the printer you already have, you are going to need new drivers for your printer.
This is a common HP printer problem and getting more common as manufacturers, like Microsoft and Apple, upgrade the operating systems that are used in computers. You must also keep in mind that a driver does not exist for every version of an operating system. There comes a point where the printer manufacturers just won’t create a new drive. This is usually because of the age of the printer model.
You should always consult your printer manual to find out what drivers are available. If you don’t have your manual, go to the manufacturers web site. If you are buying a new printer, look on the side of the box.
If you are having a problem printing with your HP printer, make sure to check your drivers are installed correctly, and that you have the most recent drivers for your computer’s operating system.
